Well, I can't wholeheartedly recommend roasting celery root whole. It's ok, but I think peeling and cutting it up first might be worthwhile. More research needed.

Last night at one game I was sitting next to a couple, and they were sniffling, and the woman laughed and said, yeah, we've been sick, but we decided to come anyway! Oh, goody for you. I think I caught whatever they were passing around. I've been achy and feverish all day. Dummies.
But it's 63 degrees here and I have all the windows open, and it feels like heaven. Oh, please, let winter be over.
Have made three salads, which should do for work lunches. I still have about half a bunch of celery, half the roasted celery root, and a head of cabbage to deal with. And two eggs, but I can eat those for breakfast tomorrow. And one apple and two oranges, but one piece of fruit a day takes care of those. Hm.
I misremembered the amount of liquid in my slow-cooker burrito bowl, and so the rice I added is all mush. Still tasty, but more of a burrito porridge than the rice bowl I was expecting.
It's in the low 50's here, and blissfully still light out! I know everyone hates changing the clocks, but if it could just stay DST all the time, I'd be a happy camper.
it is only while doing laundry that I wish my wardrobe was monochrome and much smaller.
Of course, having way more clothes than I really need allows me to go for longer than is reasonable without doing laundry, or only doing minimal laundry. One hand gives while the other takes, I suppose.
Yes, Jessica! You and I are one in the desire for DST all the time.
Me too. I am on the eastern edge of my time zone, so DST feels more "right"
For modern society DST makes more sense. 7 to 7 on the solstice is a far more reasonable daylight than 6 to 6, even if it does mean that the sun is over head at 1 than noon. Noon isn't really the middle of the modern day!
And I would take 8 to 6 for a short day over 7 to 5 ANY time. So, yes, DST forever! Start the campaign!
Count me in too!
My only real complaint about DST is that I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE AN HOUR OF SLEEP BECAUSE OF IT. I do not adapt well to time changes. Yes, jet-lag is a given if I travel anywhere out of my time zone.
Today I learned that young, chirpy, Very Christian girls like to go to the local women-only spa after church, and talk loudly about how exulted they feel, knowing about the glory of G-d, and that they wish they could bring the gospel to more people. Which, yay them, but loud religious conversations are not what I expect while I'm soaking in a hot tub.
However, one of them did ask me what one of my tattoos said. "It's in Latin, right?" she asked, smiling the smile of someone full of religious zeal.
"Yes, it is. Sic gorgiamus allos subjectatos nunc; it means 'we gladly feast on those who would subdue us'. It's the traditional motto of the Addams Family."
She didn't talk to me after that.
