Ugh, I'm so angry about that! It's already light well past 5pm, which is PLENTY LATE ENOUGH. I don't want to get up in the dark again.
Same. Sunset tonight was after 6, here, which seems fine! And it'll keep getting later.
The only clocks I have to manually set are the one in the car, the battery operated magnetic timer that sticks to the stove (and also tells time), and the binary one in the living room. Not too bad. Oh, and the timer that turns on the bathroom heater. Shoot, that would have been a bad one to forget, maybe I'll go change that one right now.
I admit to liking it a couple months in. I like not walking home in the dark. I'll hate it this week.
It was fine when it was the end of March, but the beginning is stupid.
The Lion in Winter is about an old king who has three sons and a young mistress. The queen is coming back for a holiday from being imprisoned (by her husband) Of the sons, one is scheming and smart, but no one likes him, one is strong and gay (and the mom's favorite) and one is dumb and spoiled rotten (and the dad's favorite). They all are scheming for the kingdom.

I never really thought of the parallels until you mentioned it, but it really does match up quite nicely. Also everyone should see the film version of The Lion in Winter with Katharine Hepburn and Peter O'Toole, as well as Anthony Hopkins in his first film.
Nice, Sophia. Why they are the Lyons, I'm sure.

Yes.
As I believe I have previously ranted.
Made up dough for 4 dozen snickerdoodles. Basically for my coworkers on this build from hell. Even shipping some to my long distance coworker. Some of 'em don't deserve them, but most do. Taking them to every damn meeting until gone.

I caught part of this on TCM last month, but only got to see one scene. And I keep meaning to read
A Proud Taste of Scarlet and Miniver.
I do NOT have an extra hour this weekend. I can't Spring Forward.
Moving my office. Going virtual again, combined with moving some operations to customer sites. The building where I was leasing changed hands and we are not staying. Moving never gets any easier. It just sucks.
Also, DH's Ford 350 decided this was a good weekend to think about losing a valve or something super major like that. 230K miles on it so not worth big repairs. So buying a new truck on the list too! ND, I may have Brendon consult with you since he may be tiring of going back and forth with me on the pros and cons of fixing, buying new, buying used. 150,250,350, etc. (I know he will do 350 again.)
This and we had some big integration project stuff go live on Friday so we will have a crazy busy Monday. And we are traveling to Texas sometime mid weekish. Probably swinging through New Orleans on the way back. Because -
... It Is My 25th Wedding Anniversary the 17th of March ...
Seriously, 25 years ago I thought that things would get less hectic at some point. Hasn't happened.
