So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Nah, you deserve a better house. Also, one where you live. That's helpful.

Booze probably not in the cards. I use it sparingly these days, for lo, it makes my joints hurt.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I use it sparingly these days, for lo, it makes my joints hurt.

Isn't that the definition of cruel and unusual punishment? So wrong.

Yay, Suzi!

And yay, the tax payment for the gas lease money has cleared, so I only have to worry about paying off the state portion on Hubby's forgiven student loan. Word to the wise, don't be too hasty about getting student loans forgiven, that's then counted as income. I kind of wish they'd waited on the forgiveness, because I'd been looking forward to calling them up and saying "He's DEAD, you fuckers! You lose! Suck it, leeches!"

Or words to that effect. They were not pleased when I pointed out, when they called me several years ago to try and scare me into paying it, that I was not liable for a debt incurred before I was even aware the debtor existed.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Having a credit union that displays my credit score on the dashboard as soon as I log in is really nice to have. It's relatively current, by a month or so, so I consider it pretty accurate.

Also, Suzi, credit can often be repaired. My daughter's credit score was initially too low to qualify for a mortgage, but with some advice from her loan officer she was able to fix a lot of the problems that had been lingering on her credit report for years. Some of the things were minimal--$100 here, $100 there--but because of the way they were classified they were considered huge black marks. Once those were taken care of her score rebounded pretty quickly. Many of them she didn't even realize were there or thought they had been taken care of years ago. I don't know what your particular situation is, but a good loan officer can be a boon and it sounds like you found one.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Job~ma to Plei and mortgage~ma to Suzi!

I just had a conversation with my new financial planner. I have a financial planner. I told him I didn't really have any finances to plan with. He laughed. We'll see.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ah crap, Plei. Here's hoping something better comes along.

Go Suzi!

I should probably find a financial planner, maybe they could do something useful with that annuity I've had for 20 years that's not earning much. But how to find one that's not sleazy.

I think I'm done shoveling. Cleared my car off, everything I'd done before with Anna's help, helped the lady across the street unearth her stairs(that side got the drift) and finished up for Randy down the street so he wouldn't stroke out. Now just to hope for sun.

I can feel the aches starting.

Plei, that really all sucks.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My guy was recommended to me by a good friend, she and her husband have been working with him for a few years and they're happy. He seems smart and savvy and honest. And he works on commission, so you're not paying him. If you want his details, hit me up by email. He'll work with people long-distance, he lives in Iowa and I'm in Virginia.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.
