How does the desktop crock-pot work? I ask because I have tried to use a big crock-pot to heat things at work, and they have not actually gotten hot by lunch time. But again, that was a big crock and a full recipe, for pot-luck purposes.

It's a small crock-pot and it says right up front that it will not get hot enough to cook, but if I put some leftover soup or chili in in the morning, it's a good eating temperature by lunch. I like it better than heating up in the microwave although I'm not sure I could really say why. It is certainly nice to smell something appetizing all morning while whatever it is warms up.

Lunch: Popeye's chicken fingers. I give myself one fast-food lunch a week, the rest are salads.

Boss is bringing something back from MacDonald's for me.
The only reason I don't eat lunch at 10:30 is because I drink coffee from 7-8 and a whole pot of tea from 9:30 or so to (going by today) 11:45. Sometimes with cookies. In the vein of "just so you know it's tea, here are your cookies".
Can't actually smell my chili today, come to think about it.
burrito delivered to my door. Today, I couch potato after driving mom to the airport this morning.
Oh, for my lunch I had broccoli soup and a flatbread from Panera.
I am having an upstate ny ground round with meat hot sauce. I am told in other parts of the world this is a hamburger! But maybe you guys don't have meat hot sauce? I am so fascinated by regional foods.
