Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

There are times when eating ice cream is the only rational and legal course of action.

Connie, the last time I had to deal with a neighbor as creepy as that, not too many months into his creepiness, a family with three very barky dogs moved into the trailer between creepy guy's and mine. After a couple of weeks of listening to the dogs bark, I got to the point where I knew what various barks meant. I also noted that those dogs hated creepy guy and the feeling was apparently mutual because he was unwilling to walk past them to get to me. When the barky dogs' family apologized for the racket, I told them they had nothing to apologize for, and that I was, in fact, grateful. May you soon have a family of barky dogs, or some other similar assistance.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Ugh, people.

My neck is sore. Not like muscle aches but like swollen glands. Not good. So I'm wondering... tea or whiskey?

aurelia, if I were wondering "tea or whisky" I'd likely end up answering "both plus lemon and honey".

Our wings are not tired

Yeah, I don't understand the use of the word "or" in that equation.

Fingers crossed for you, Suela!!

I was so useless today. I am much better when I have plenty of work to do. I do still have a tiny bit but it's mostly answering random phone calls and emails, so I can't like, go blow off the day and go hiking. Have to be home and checking email or able to hop right on the work computer. And I suspect it'll be as soon as I have something else going on (my other project getting busy, or leaving for vacation) that they'll suddenly be demanding tons of help and time, even though I've repeatedly told them have free time right NOW.

Whiskey seemed simpler so I went with that.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

While y'all were typing about hot toddies, I was drinking one. Nom.

My bread must be done, right? So I can go to bed?

The status is NOT quo.

I'm in bed but tossing and turning. I can't seem to turn my brain off at night lately. It's the lack of exercise. But I've been given the okay to start a rehab running program for the next week to get myself back on the road, and that is a very good thing.

Work closed. My employer still doesn't have an admin policy. After 30 years. Resentment not even thinly veiled and inclination to actually work is nil. Will attend mtgs as necessary, but frankly, I'm this close to telling anyone who crosses me to FOAD. Auspicious start.
