Lisah, is the snowmelt the sugar based stuff? Sarah got it one year and we loved it but haven't seen it since. So much less corrosive. Slightly sticky, but no more so than the mess -chlorides make.

My dogwalk earlier this evening was pretty terrifying. I tried to stay on the snow as much as possible. And walked like a penguin. Fortunately, CB is pretty good on the leash and not a puller. She's pretty happy to go really slow and really get some intense smellin' in. And it doesn't seem like she's going to need another walk before bed. PLEASE let it rain some and melt overnight.
Sugar stuff is brown. Yeah, it's pretty death defying out there.
I highly recommend Yaktrax for walking in icy conditions. They are part of my regular winter kit.

First offer on the house we're trying to sell fell through, and so has the back up.
I just want someone to buy the house, and the house to be gone, and to not have to worry about it anymore. I kind of want to cry.

I just want it gone, and I had high hopes, even with the first offer falling through, that the back up would go through, but they backed out after the inspection, so now I'm terrified that no one will go through with buying the stupid place.
My SIL lost her (asshole to everyone not immediate family and even then, only loveslut to PJ) dog of 14 years today. First conversation I had with her was due to the puppy having parvovirus and josh being out of town. I'm sad for her and yet think it is kinda funny I managed to miss being scarred by KT until this xmas, when FINALLY the damned dog accepted me, but I startled her in the dark(she was mostly blind) and got bit.

I am constantly amazed that people go about their lives doing difficult things ALL THE TIME. Whereas I need a gold star when I fill my gas tank or remember to get milk. Or have my mom visit for a week. A WEEK.
