Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

It's BYOC

I thought that was going to be "bring your own cat" because you'd be too selfish to share your cats even if you'll give your booze away for free.

Nice to hear you own the house free and clear!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My cats resist being shared, unfortunately.

My house is about to get more snow on it. Dammit, enough with the snow already, Winter! You've proved your point!

My house is about to get more snow on it.

Seriously, we're getting more snow tomorrow, with predictions varying from 4 to 9 inches. WHAT THE SHIT. Because even 4 (the "low" end) isn't okay.

(The secretly funny part about the predicted snow is that I have an OB/GYN appointment tomorrow, which I had to reschedule from a couple of weeks ago...because it snowed a shitton and made the roads horrible. It's like me scheduling this appointment summoned the snow. Maybe I should put it off until July.)

Steph, you forgot to mention that before the snow tomorrow, we have a flood warning, because it is raining like mad (why yes, I just had to walk several blocks in the pouring rain for work.)

Oh, right -- in 36 hours, we will have had a freezing rain warning (I don't know what came of that this morning, actually), then the flood warning, and then the snowpocalypse warning. And then I would expect in about 4-7 days, depending on temperatures, to have more flooding, because all that snow is going to melt.

My doctor appointment is down on Kellogg Ave. (literally, the name is "Riverside Gyn") and I'm just hoping Kellogg Ave. doesn't flood. Which is foolish -- it floods every damn year, and the question isn't if, but when, and how much.

I left work at 2 because the freezing rain started. Supposed to rain like hell tomorrow and then we get the 4-8" of snow. 24 hrs behind you.

If you're getting our rain from today, it's a little ridiculous. It's like build-the-ark rain.

I actually just called my doctor to ask if they've had a problem with flooding yet, and they said not as of right now, but they'll call tomorrow if it is a problem. Sheesh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

HAha, you guys -- we only got an inch or so yesterday and will only get a little wintry mix tonight! (I swear to god, if we DON'T break the annual snowfall record, I am going to be pissed.)

I'm sorry, was my gloating unseemly?

brillig

We've broken our snowfall record--for days without snow during winter.

We seem to be having winter today and yesterday.
