I hope you're celebrating!
Um, I'm working late. And eating ice cream. Does that count?
Thanks, all. I'm giddy. I'm walking around pointing at things and yelling MINE HAHAHA. Pine trees! Driveway! Ugly old fence! MINE. I dunno, it feels different. It gives me great peace of mind, to know that I have a place to live that - barring eminent domain landgrabs and other gov'mint fuckery - can't be taken away from me.
A kitten just showed up in our yard.
Congrats on your new kitten, Burrell. I suggest you name it Inconvenient Delight.
Congrats, Zen! That's exciting.
That's super exciting, Zen!! Was this ahead of schedule, or has this day been on the calendar for a few years?
meara, it's way ahead of schedule, thanks to some unexpected money.
That must feel amazing, Zen. I have about 2 1/2 years to go. I'd look up the exact date, but I somehow got locked out of my online account and I have to make a phone call. I hate phone calls. Do you get an actual deed these days?
The funny smell in the bathroom has resolved itself into "there's something dead near the bathroom." I haven't found it yet. My maggot phobia does not give me much enthusiasm for the task.
Congrats on your new kitten, Burrell. I suggest you name it Inconvenient Delight.
I may have to use this on the next feline that arrives on my doorstep. Delightful to think of excited Franny.
WOO HOO Home homership!! Go Zen! So exciting.
Do you get an actual deed these days?
I was told it would come in the mail, so I guess so. I'm getting a safe deposit box for it, otherwise I know I'll misplace it.
Can Mr. Peabody be of help locating the source of the smell, or is that a bad idea?
Cereal: shrift, I don't think I've offered my condolences yet. So sorry. And I'm hoping that you get to go see your friends, too.
Mr Peabody is no help. He's only interested in things that are alive.
