I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I agree with Kat

CJ had a horrible case of stomach flu/food poisoning Friday night. The rest of us have been fine. At least until 5:30 am this morning - I feel like I need to stay within very close proximity to my toilet. Yet I must go to the Credit Union to deal with the fraud stuff so I can pay my rent. May need to play the pre-approval by ear depending on if my guts decide to cooperate.

I already worked 8 hours yesterday, so if I can't get a full 8 in today, I'm not going to feel too bad, even though I have a schedule full of deadlines this week.

Would oatmeal make it better or worse. That is the big question I'm facing at the moment.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My feet went up a size over the past 10 years. No pregnancy was involved. My main source of clutter is my book habit. Unemployment and ereaders have kept that from expanding of late, but I still have about 10 6-foot bookcases worth (double stacked in far fewer than 10 bookcases). I find them comforting. As long as I can afford my current living space, I see no reason to shift them. They don't block anything or get in my way.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Suzi, my guess is worse. Try some toast or crackers. Feel better.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think obligatory days off should not have to be productive. Like that should be the point.

Same.

Oh dear, Suzi! I hope you can take some sick time from work, and deal with your personal stuff as well.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Decided to take the day off from Ubering (Monday morning traffic seems to be the worst) so I'm catching up with all the Home Stuff that has been let go. And I baked bread last night, which should be a sign that I'm finally concentrating enough, post-Boskone to manage.

Well, I'm off to the credit union. Wish me luck.
