I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think obligatory days off should not have to be productive. Like that should be the point.

Same.

Oh dear, Suzi! I hope you can take some sick time from work, and deal with your personal stuff as well.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Decided to take the day off from Ubering (Monday morning traffic seems to be the worst) so I'm catching up with all the Home Stuff that has been let go. And I baked bread last night, which should be a sign that I'm finally concentrating enough, post-Boskone to manage.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mm, bread.

Suzi, best of luck!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Good luck, Suzi! And feel better.

So, I survived the journey away from home without any...ummm...indelicate problems. Got the fraud report signed and have a new card now. The credit union is switching from Visa to MasterCard and apparently MC has better security. In the meantime, the clerk advised to run my card as credit whenever possible over debit. Harder to skim according to her.

I also spoke on the phone with the local mortgage lady. She said that they have just recently started accepting co-signers and it is new enough that she needed to do some research before we start the pre-approval process. So, slight progress there.

The big issue is that they don't immediately credit back the fraudulent charges - it may take a day or two or so - they couldn't commit to a time frame. I have until the 4th before I start getting late fees on my rent. K-Bug said she would cover me if we get to that point, so it isn't as bad as it could be. Just sucks donkey balls.
