Sir? I'd like you to take the helm, please. I need this man to tear all my clothes off.

I quite enjoyed The Martian

You know they're making a movie? Which surprises me not at all, since it really is so very cinematic. I just hope they cast someone who can do comedy as the guy (I forget his name), because you really need some humor for a lot of that.

I'm taking a vacation day because I have a rare day without meetings, the ice isn't melting fast enough and I have to burn days before the end of the month (obligatory fuck you CSC.) Going to attempt to make it productive, but I'm already thwarted by a Loki on my lap preventing a second cup of coffee.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I think obligatory days off should not have to be productive. Like that should be the point.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I agree with Kat

CJ had a horrible case of stomach flu/food poisoning Friday night. The rest of us have been fine. At least until 5:30 am this morning - I feel like I need to stay within very close proximity to my toilet. Yet I must go to the Credit Union to deal with the fraud stuff so I can pay my rent. May need to play the pre-approval by ear depending on if my guts decide to cooperate.

I already worked 8 hours yesterday, so if I can't get a full 8 in today, I'm not going to feel too bad, even though I have a schedule full of deadlines this week.

Would oatmeal make it better or worse. That is the big question I'm facing at the moment.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My feet went up a size over the past 10 years. No pregnancy was involved. My main source of clutter is my book habit. Unemployment and ereaders have kept that from expanding of late, but I still have about 10 6-foot bookcases worth (double stacked in far fewer than 10 bookcases). I find them comforting. As long as I can afford my current living space, I see no reason to shift them. They don't block anything or get in my way.
