I am very much into my snowstorm drinking, and I've gotten my neighbor to watch Justified.

My brother's lost power complete with arcing line in the front yard and a neighbor car was tree smashed. He's hopeful about power resolution because several of his neighbors work for Bama Power and were out tamping the lines when it happened.

I've honestly had such a day I'm not tracking. Found something that after swim meditation might spike the project install dates. I'm not sure. But it is troublesome, holy hell. And I want this project to go live successfully so I CAN STOP THINKING ABOUT IT. It transitions our account services to another team, and I'm sure they'll fuck it up, but it will no longer be our responsibility and we're the trailblazers Yahdahyahdah. I'm willing to let them fuck it up to a degree because they need to learn and it is past time. But jesuschrist, clearly they don't understand testing. And they are our IT dept! At this point, I'm willing to make a public example of them. And point out how we do it right. I'm that done. Pouring the fuel and flicking my cig.

Floridians might be insane, but they're kind of nutty about manatees, the way the British are about hedgehogs.

Yay manatees! (That's the name of my BIL's swim team, too.) It must be kind of scary working with them--they can do a lot of damage just flopping around, they're so big.

Juliebird, I'm so sorry to hear about the goats. I love goats, they're so full of personality and baby goats are among the cutest things in the world.

Woke up in the middle of the night and there are reports of widespread power outages in the area because the snow is so heavy and wet. Power's still on here. Pleeeeease let it stay that way...

My train was delayed 20 minutes due to switch problems. And we only had about four inches of snow. Apparently transit budgets here are too low so maintenance gets skimped on, hence the switches that get wonky with only a little snow.

Meanwhile, our new governor has proposed cutting two hundred million from the transit budget.
