And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

8-12 inches is nothing to apologize for. That's pretty significant snowfall. Be careful out there.

Nora, I know, you're right. I just feel guilty because people north of here have had to out up with so much. But I will be careful. And by careful I mean stay inside and drink.

tommy, I'm sorry about your brother. That's so hard.

Juliebird, that's really sad.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Definitely stay inside with 8-12 inches of snow! I'm still mad at our HR lady who sent out the "the office is open, you know your commute best" messages and then stayed home.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I kind of really love the Cadillac Dare Greatly commercial. Like, a lot.

Julie, I'm so sorry. I couldn't comment earlier because I really couldn't think about it and my market goats and gah. Completely awful sad.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I was kind of useless when I got into work on Tuesday and heard the news. At first, when I saw the email titled "our goats are gone" I thought they'd been sold, and that was sad enough.

Last night I found a video that helped me with not only this weeks sad news, but just general sadness and depression, and it's a year old, so you internet savvy people might have already seen it, but I think it's good stuff, so here's the very hot JGL's hitRECord "You're Not The Only One" [link]

Herding cats for fun

Now I am wondering... how much does it cost to buy a goat? The only reference I've got is Heifer Project and of course I disremember the number.

Also remembering that when "Witness" was the biggest movie in town, every city dweller I knew was fantasizing about getting to go to a barn raising. Wouldn't it be nice if there could be a weekend work party and a team of carpenters would troop in with all the tools and supplies and muscles and raise the barn and build a treehouse while they're at it.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I'm so sorry about the goats! They are the best.

~ma to shrift's family and -t's as well. I think my feelings about this year so far are well known. I expect nothing but unicorns and puppies from here to New Year's dammit.

Hot people: Tom Hardy. Emma Stone. Ryan Gosling. Pink. I am no on Charming Potato, no on Loki but yes on Hiddles, no on Firth, yes on Jolie (going back to ignoring the guy making out with me in favor of watching Foxfire over his shoulder), yes on Perrineau, no on Idris, yes on Cho, yes on Chrises Hemsworth, Evans, and Pratt, no on Ruffalo, yes on ScarJo. Ooo! Adrienne Palicki, yes please.

TOM HARDY wins all of my ovaries as of late, whether I like his character or no, it's TH all the way.

I don't get the Idris, or the Cho, but yes'm on Evans and Ruffalo (the latter in a rumpled way), yes on ScarJo. I think Scarlett, right now, is only bested in terms of beauty by Rosamund Pike, whom I find ethereally exquisite.

But THardy is where I'm at these days, with his chameleonism, his little boy lost eyes on and off screen, his engaging interviews. I prefer him less beefy, though. I like to see shoulders as separate body parts from necks or jaws. When they meet is just disturbing.

I really think I'm just infatuated with the actor, because I can't think of a single character he's played that does it for me, or that I have to obsessively watch over and over again. I just need more TH in my life, whatever persona he's taken on as of late.

Hey Juliebird, I linked to that JGL video upthread last night. Did you perhaps see it here?
