My current one-sided love-ness is a long ago ex from college. I haven't seen him in almost 10 years, but I have built him up in my brain to be the one who would be perfect if we reconnected. It is very "What's Your Number?" And ridiculous.
Hey, if it results in getting together with Chris Evans, the wacky adventures will be worth it.
meara, same job, different school. My new site dress-code is way more relaxed than my previous (though dress codes in Ed are mostly self imposed. It was that my previous principal was really into professional dress).
The deal this week is just that my feet hurt so badly that these are one of two pair of shoes that provide relief.
I recently saw Guardians of the Galaxy for the first time and enjoyed it. I tried to get my daughter to watch it thinking she'd like it, but it lost her in the opening credits when Chris Pratt kicked some CGI lizards. Sigh. It's not always easy to cultivate a geeky taste in movies.
Nice outfit, Kat!
My inappropriate crushes tend to evaporate, luckily. Although I just saw pictures of a former inappropriate work crush at the Oscars, looking good! But now I'm just fond.
I got a float appointment for this Saturday! Hooray. Now I have to figure out when I have time to get a hair cut.
Matt, I am pretty sure that is not how my life works.
I have stopped matching my sneakers to what I am wearing when wearing jeans or really any pants. If I am wearing sneakers I consider them neutral. Just more evidence that I have become that mom.
Purple shoes, purple in the tie, close enough.
All of my business-dress meetings are with engineers. I've learned I can relax my standards a bit. One PhD wears a fringed leather vest to every meeting.
I'm so glad I'm not flying back into NC tonight. Instead I had a webinar interview this morning and can spend the rest of the day being out and about getting pre-storm things done.
I used to be really adamant that if the shirt/sweater I was wearing was black or predominantly black (like, argyle), my shoes had to be black (this presumes non-black pants, like jeans). The idea of brown shoes with a black sweater was appalling. But lately, IDGAF.
NEVER brown shoes with black pants, though. I still have that line in the sand.
Looking good, Kat!
Purple is pretty close to being a neutral in my wardrobe, in that I will wear it with any other colour. Unfortunately, different purples can clash like the dickens.
If there's any spare health~ma floating around, my dad is finding out this afternoon whether he's going to be getting a stent or having another bypass. The last bypass lasted him 20 years, but we are hoping he can get away with a stent this time.
