I have no idea what to wear tomorrow to match the shoes.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Samira Wiley is way hot. I love her.

Also, 8-12"????? Seriously?????

Yep.

Damn it.

The list of things that I have missed in the past two weeks because of weather, or weather-related migraines is ridic: The New Pornographers, Lucero, fundraising dance for the Eno River Foundation, Neko Case and Michael Nesmith hosting a screening of Repo Man (seriously, how cool would that have been??), this tonight, maybe, and possibly JCM in Hedwig and seeing Buffistas? We may not have an apocalyptic winter, but we are weak down here and our roads (and drivers) can only handle so much.

I mean, never forget.

I like that outfit, Kat! What job are you doing now, that you have more flexibility?

I have a number of people out there that I still kinda think "maybe someday..." And I'm sure they have no idea I think that.

My current one-sided love-ness is a long ago ex from college. I haven't seen him in almost 10 years, but I have built him up in my brain to be the one who would be perfect if we reconnected. It is very "What's Your Number?" And ridiculous.

Hey, if it results in getting together with Chris Evans, the wacky adventures will be worth it.

meara, same job, different school. My new site dress-code is way more relaxed than my previous (though dress codes in Ed are mostly self imposed. It was that my previous principal was really into professional dress).

The deal this week is just that my feet hurt so badly that these are one of two pair of shoes that provide relief.

Coding and Sleeping

I recently saw Guardians of the Galaxy for the first time and enjoyed it. I tried to get my daughter to watch it thinking she'd like it, but it lost her in the opening credits when Chris Pratt kicked some CGI lizards. Sigh. It's not always easy to cultivate a geeky taste in movies.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Nice outfit, Kat!

My inappropriate crushes tend to evaporate, luckily. Although I just saw pictures of a former inappropriate work crush at the Oscars, looking good! But now I'm just fond.

I got a float appointment for this Saturday! Hooray. Now I have to figure out when I have time to get a hair cut.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Matt, I am pretty sure that is not how my life works.

I have stopped matching my sneakers to what I am wearing when wearing jeans or really any pants. If I am wearing sneakers I consider them neutral. Just more evidence that I have become that mom.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Purple shoes, purple in the tie, close enough.

All of my business-dress meetings are with engineers. I've learned I can relax my standards a bit. One PhD wears a fringed leather vest to every meeting.
