I want to lie in some sort of warm and cozy cocoon like thing and do nothing except maybe get massaged by the cocoon (because I don't want to see anything) and have things read to me. And maybe drink wine. Forever.
But I am also at work like a grown-up.
But still fantasizing about taking to my bed like a Victorian Lady (although it probably wasn't as nice as I am imagining)
Jesse I just googled sensory deprivation tank and I found one in my area and I read about it [link] and IT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT. I keep telling people that I want to be in some sort of warm liquid with nothing happening, and they think I am crazy!

This is what I'm saying! It sounds just right!! Sadly, hundreds of other people agreed with me, so I'm guessing the scheduling website crashes as soon as it opens today. PS: Come visit and we can go there together and drink wine after.
They seem to be calling that "float therapy" or around here. I have been wanting to try it since I was a kid. One of these days.
Thank you guys for saying nice things (and being smart and funny and beautiful).
I think a sensory deprivation tank would make me claustrophobic.
round 4 of how dare the library get rid of books is the new and now showing up on the library facebook page.
which no one in admin looks at
so on my day off I am looking for an official statement to put up on the library facebook page. meanwhile, I cannot go on facebook with out seeing friends/neighbors say nasty things about the library. it is ignorance, but it is hard to deal with

Yeah, this place is called float, but I am very 80s!
beth, we get that a lot at the library bookstore I work at because we sell things pulled from the library shelves there. I try to tell them that usually at least one copy remains within the library lending system, so patrons still have access to the book if they need it. Plus, there is just not unlimited space at our little library. I'm sorry you have to deal with this on your day off.
Yes, there's several new "float tank" places in Seattle, but I wonder how well they're doing since they always seem to be running a groupon. It's something I want to try though.
