I will confess I've been a Channing fan since way back in the day, with "Step Up," the first in a gloriously irreverent series of dance movies that continues to charm my heart. And eyeballs. He is a very talented dancer, and he ended up marrying his female co-star from the film. Whenever he talks, he comes across as a nice, albeit wild, man. I have been a fan of his face for so long I no longer see his face.
Let him do his thing, and then you get him out. No messing with him for laughs.

I have no doubt he's charming and appealing as an actor; I just don't find him blindingly, dazzlingly, or even slightly-brighter-than-usual hot, and I'd somehow gathered the impression from other corners of the internet that every (cis, het) woman on the planet of course does and those who don't are... well, not even anything, because there are no such women.
