CJ let in some Mormon missionaries. I excused myself since I am still working. But I can hear them. He is holding his own without being rude. Not sure how/when this will end though. He does have to go to work in 30 minutes.

Prepare him for them doing a hard sell, Suzi. One of the new things they're doing is try to get an investigator to commit to being baptized on the first meeting--yes, the idea is ridiculous, but they're desperate for baptisms. These kids are not more older than CJ, so he may feel some sort of connection with them. Just the fact that they got in the door is a rarity these days, so they won't let go easily.
They are trying down to nail down a date to return. But I think they settled for leaving a phone number. Oh, and now they are asking for his number.
If they get his number, they'll invite him to activities and church and to see if they can drop by.
They are gone now. Just left their number - didn't get CJ's. And now that they are gone, I'm looking at my son - an ARP t-shirt (ok) and his gingerbread person "Bite Me" PJ pants.
K-Bug had wandered through a few times and had considered making coffee with her back tat hanging out. Instead she offered water, told them she was skeptical, and moved on.
Timelies all!
Gotta start cleaning the house in preparation for my parents' visit this weekend. Don't wanna, but I gotta.
Suzi, that just reminds me of a scene from Black Books: [link]
I was just thinking about that scene!
My maternal grandpa used to invite missionaries in to get my grandmother to debate with them. It drove her nuts, but farm manners dictated hospitality and she couldn't pass up an argument( she wasn't super religious, but she knew her bible like whoa.) Grandpa just liked to see her being brainy.
I GOT TO SWIM!!
