You know what you can do to make sitting in as an advisor on a tech rehearsal even more boring?
Is there any paint you can watch dry?
I'm sorry, Dana.
I feel guilty that Atlanta once again dodged the predicted wintry mix. This probably means we'll get a surprise wintry mix.
I spent much of today at a trivia tournament. The top 150 citywide teams get into the tournament, and they're split between three venues. We were playing in the top 50 group and ended up 7th in that group, which is certainly better than our usual crash-and-burn performance in tournaments.
Your trivia question for the day: In 1988, Al Unser, Jr., took what pop-culture vehicle for a 120-mph test lap at the Indy 500, setting a record for this type of vehicle.
In disgusting personal news, I have an incipient zit on my nose. It feels like my nose is occupying 80% of my face.
Is there any paint you can watch dry?
You should ask Pix about me and watching paint dry. There is actually a story there.
Also grass growing.
Delorean?
I have watched paint dry as part of my job. It is as boring and frustrating as advertised.
Flea wins! We put Delorean.
9-10" of snow and now it is raining. Uhg!
Sorry for the horrible weather bothering Buffistas everywhere. Stop it, Snow!
I am getting over the flu (or, as I call it in my head, "That thing Askye had"). Been REALLY sick all week--I only made it into work Thursday and part of yesterday. The last three days have been horrible cough days. My doctor told me NOT to take Dayqull or Nyquil, as that dries up the gunk but does not drain it, so you never get rid of it. She has me on plain mucinex, Flonase and Ibuprofen for fever and aches. I'm still coughing like a mofo, but it's just started to slow down and my ears have finally stopped hurting.
A part of me is happy that we're getting so much snow as it means the plow guy will come and I won't have to shovel.
Aw, my brother just sent me a vid of my 12 year old nephew's first time behind the wheel. Never left first, right turns only in an empty lot, but he stopped smoothly and no overcorrections. And he was driving the Beemer with the hard clutch, so I'm impressed. Not the first time he's driven something, but first time a real car.
