Yeah, it's a long day. Taught at SMC this morning, then had to go down to UCI to deal with some paperwork, and now I'm at UCLA.

I spent the weekend with my mom when she got her cataract surgery, but I didn't have to do much. I think I even cross country skied in the woods by her house.

Very true. I didn't even notice the freudian typo. Somehow I thinking sitting here posting on b.org might be helping make me a faulty advisor.
Students need faulty advice sometimes, just to prepare them for life.

Well, it' 6:30am, we've had light instead of heavy snow - looks like 2-3 new inches - and I am not really sure what is falling from the sky right now. But work is open. #timetomakethedonuts

Well, market wasn't so bad, but hardly any vendors. Just got spinach. Now the scary part:target and giant and TJ's. Before a storm.
So, I trudged to the bus, took the bus, was at work on time, was joined by a coworker at 8:10 who'd been on the road since 6:20am, fielded 5 phone calls from other staff who were wither stuck in their driveways or on a slow bus, and then at 8:30 the security staff announced over intercom that the decision had been made to close the library.
I swore a lot and loudly. What a stupid, insulting decision.
