All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Whoa, Monday night tv did not disappoint... until the weather report just now. It's gonna be stupid cold the next few days and the heat in my office still doesn't work.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

My latest super fast OMG so good creation is TJ's Gorgonzola gnocchi cooked with a bag of their frozen kale.

That sounds utterly amazing. And now I have to finish my nightly drink and bundle Matilda off to bed, because tomorrow is another ridiculously early morning (though possibly the last for a while; my bike has been unearthed from the storage space and tuned up, and the boss's holiday Amazon gift card has been transformed into a bike helmet which should arrive by midweek).

The last time I rode my bike regularly, I was in middle school out in the dead quiet suburbs and I used to read a book while riding. Without a helmet. Because I was twelve and phenomenally stupid. Will NOT be pulling that shit on the streets of San Francisco.

Things closed until 10: Y and my work. Closed for the day: everything else. just about.

Given the unclear policy fromCSC, I'm only happy about the Y opening. And I can't stop sneezing. Any work I do will be half assed. I'll call into telecons. I'll do my ethics training for the year (irony don't escape me.)

Say, isn't today pancake day? I'm socked in with ice and sleet covering snow, but I have power, so I'll be celebrating with blueberry pancakes.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Say, isn't today pancake day?

Also paczki day! It's hard for me to convince myself to leave my nice warm house and go out in 6 degrees just to get tasty pastries I shouldn't really eat. (Anyone who makes a gluten-free paczki automatically gets a medal, man.)

You guys! They purr! [link]

And cats are on my lap doing a reenactment.

Cleared car, 4 houses sidewalks and one extra open parking space. And already hurting. It's not even heavy snow! After removing the top few inches (basically using shovel as a plow), push room cleared the rest. But my shoulders hate hate hate that kind of motion. Which I know, from vacuuming and mopping, but it is just stupid. Also, I got kinda sweaty.

Also also, I can't really work because I can't reach the laptop because cats. But am also hungry and can't reach food either. Dilemma. But they will get disturbed at 9:30 for a meeting.

UGH, single to negative digits are what I have to look forward to?! I'd change my mind about coming back from Mardi Gras, but I'm already on a plane.

Is Anne around? I am trying to remember what yard we used to knit Joss's baby things. I made mittens from the leftover for a friend and she has lost one. They were very warm, so I wanted to try to get similar yarn.
