It's been snowing here since 7am, and we've only got about 2 inches.
Yeah, when Channel 9 was talking about 4-9 inches, I was suspecting we'd be lucky to see the low end of that.
(Sorry to say, that snowman build was probably a bust - this is not packing snow.)
Several people on that FB thread asked about that, and the organizer insists it will work great with spray bottles of water to make the snow stick. I think this is a plan that sounded WAY better in his head.
I'm checking FB periodically for pictures (either of snowmen or dejected hipsters whose snowmen failed).
Very light, very fluffy.
That's Utah snow! That's our famous powder. Give us back our snow!
(please do not send me packages full of snowballs, they'll only melt)
We have snow here! I'm celebrating with homemade chili and cornbread.
Yesterday I drove down to DC to drop Dylan off with my parents for midwinter break, today I drove back to Brooklyn. My poor knees are not happy with me spending that much time in the car two days in a row, but since I've got a week off work between jobs I can spend the next five days being kind to them. (And thank goodness for butt-warmer seats. I went out this morning with my mom to take the dog for a walk and my legs were icicles by the time we got back.)
Back home now. Flight took off about 3 hours late. It is snowing here, but we have been to the supermarket. Remains to see what happens tomorrow. (Gary's supposed to fly out tomorrow afternoon for a business trip.)
I'm headed from the snow in Colorado to warmth of Utah tomorrow morning. Ok, it will be in the 50's but that beats the 30's here.
Unfortunately the flight is rediculously early in the morning. Should probably crawl in bed now.
Watching Hounds at Westminster. Glad we're not getting new snow.
It's glittersnow here. Maybe an inch thus far. I've heard one plow and sand truck go by and just witnessed another go the wrong way down my street. I don't know how my teeny little street finally got on the List, but I appreciate it. As long as they still show up in the morning when there's more of it!
