There's a sad little wren sitting on a shrub next to her snowed-under birdbath. Sorry, little wren. No baths for a few days. But the birdfeeder is restocked, so you've got millet!
Oh, there goes the first vehicle crawling by on the snow-covered street. Be brave, little driver, it's not even icy yet!
I have committed a decadence that isn't decadent. As part of an ongoing "Yay, you did good!" rewards program, I got a $25 gift card to JoAnn's. I just spent some time on their website and selected several things, with the application of a 20% off everything discount because of the holiday weekend. There was 3$ left over, so I paid with the money that's been accruing in my PayPal account from eBay. So I have new crafty stuff with found money!
No snow in sunny Seattle.
So bored.
We just had 15 minutes of snow flurries. The mountains have a very light frosting on them. People went to the windows and pointed in amazement. In Utah.
It's been snowing here since 7am, and we've only got about 2 inches. Very light, very fluffy. (Sorry to say, that snowman build was probably a bust - this is not packing snow.)

Yeah, when Channel 9 was talking about 4-9 inches, I was suspecting we'd be lucky to see the low end of that.

Several people on that FB thread asked about that, and the organizer insists it will work great with spray bottles of water to make the snow stick. I think this is a plan that sounded WAY better in his head.
I'm checking FB periodically for pictures (either of snowmen or dejected hipsters whose snowmen failed).

That's Utah snow! That's our famous powder. Give us back our snow!
(please do not send me packages full of snowballs, they'll only melt)
