The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It was bourbon time for me, and there may have been a little too much.

I believe I may blame -t, and maybe go to bed now.

eta: Not really on the blaming -t, of course. Going to bed now seems like a good idea though.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I accept the blame. I so rarely get the opportunity to be a bad influence. Sleep well.

Still waiting on ice for the whiskey. Have successfully steamed a lobster tail and broccoli, though, so I have that going for me which is nice.

Ventured out to turn up the heat on former neighbor's house. Holy windstorm! Sky is clear but snow is blowing like whoa. Whiteout brought on by rearranged fallen snow.2-3" but at Karen's, it had drifted to a foot at her stairs with bare patches in the alley.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Power is out due to the wind storm. I have LED candles, a flashlight, and many batteries, and it's night, so I'm fine, shutting off electronics and going to bed.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It's 2 degrees. I do not like it.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yikes, found out today prior to dinner with the best friend and his kids that his mother had spent several days in the psych hospital last month for depression, and almost had him take her back in today before changing her mind. From the sound of it her latest episode of depression had her in a lower motivation/energy state of mind than I was at my worst (though thankfully it's passive, so no suicidal ideation), and she's not helping the process by cooperating much with psychiatric care.

I can help by lending an emotional support and giving him some perspective on what clinical depression is like from the inside. But I'm at a loss to suggest practical things to do if his mother won't at least try to meet the docs halfway.

That sounds tough Matt. Eek.

I went out with a gay dude friend of mine for V Day. We hit a gay bar for a cocktail. Then a Greek place for some food. The the lesbian bar for a shot (because he'd never been there). The a stop at the cupcake place for the "deathcake royale". Then a gay boy bar for people watching and another drink. Good times.

-t, part of the reason I have a housecleaner come once a month is so I know that the floor has been mopped at least in the past 30 days. Because otherwise I'd have no idea and it would probably be much less frequent.

The status is NOT quo.

...I had a lot of caffeine at dinner. And an excedrin migraine during the play we went to see.

So yeah, it's 3 am and I'm wide awake. Anyone out there?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh your poor friend, Matt.

Sky is clear but snow is blowing like whoa. Whiteout brought on by rearranged fallen snow.

We had that on Friday. It was sunny, but you would have sworn it was snowing out.
