Natter 73: Chuck Norris only wishes he could Natter
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I too have begun the evening's libation program. Great minds, etc.
So today involved much housework: vacuumed and mopped all floors, cleaned the toilets, cleaned both the kids' bedrooms, and even more. But now there is wine, and later there will be houseguests, so all is good.
I keep not washing the kitchen floor, because it's just going to get covered in salt again, but I should really do that tomorrow.
I wrote & submitted a rec for Taylor for a summer internship with NIH. Third load of laundry is on final rinse. No basement flooding yet.
Tomorrow, floor cleaning and generally sorting.
Oh and when I got out of the pool, we had a light dusting. 90 minutes later, I look out and there's like 3"! Winds are kicking up now.
Go Taylor!
Kitchen floor was a filthy mess. yipes!
So my local movie theater has a 24-hour sci fi marathon scheduled for tomorrow! It's starting at 4pm instead of noon, due to weather. I'm still not going, but that's a cool thing in the neighborhood.
I'm remembering why I normally do sheets last. They invariably wad up and I have to run stuff back through the dryer.
An inch of snow frightened my sister into going back home rather than coming to my house. After she got home she called to apologize for freaking out. But she's not wrong, it's not going to melt, it's just going to turn into a slick of black ice, so I don't blame her for wanting to be at home.
MOST importantly, I wanted her and her BF to help me move some furniture, and I wasn't finished getting all the books and stuff out of the way, so the snow will delay her arrival until I'm ready! It's like the Universe is looking out for me, man.
I keep not washing the kitchen floor,
Same!
because it's just going to get covered in salt again
Oh, no, mine is just because I'm lazy.
