I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Our wings are not tired.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of the kitty! Yay!

We have had a variety of office configurations. At the moment I have my own office. When we moved into a space that was one large open space with just the 2x4 studs awaiting walls we ended up never putting the walls up because we enjoyed the openness. I'm not sure which I prefer.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I am a little flummoxed. To honor H's "I hate Hallmark holidays," I didn't trouble to get him even a card, at which he always makes that "this is so stupid" face.

So, this morning, who hands me a heart-shaped box of truffles? I mean, chocolate, yay! But this box--my heart stopped. Jilli would love it. The lid is covered with padded crushed silk, the kind of box I'd pay money for at a boutique, or at a clean secondhand or antiques shop. He knows me well. And now I feel bad for not getting him anything--I should go find my watercolor postcards and paint him something gloriously schmoopy. That'll show 'im.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, Bev.

Aren't movie theaters always open? Do I only think that because I've never lived where there's snow?

Have hit BevMo and am ready to break out my chocolates to be paired with wine&whiskey&cheese. Whiskey first or last? I'm thinking last.

Woke from a brief nap incubating a nasty headache. Guess that's the incoming front.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aren't movie theaters always open?

I mostly wonder about tomorrow -- they're shutting down public transportation, but most people will probably stay home, so an employee could drive if need be, and of course there are plenty of potential customers in walking distance.

You could call and ask, probably.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah -- I will definitely be able to find out! And honestly, the odds I want to do anything tomorrow are pretty low. Monday will be fine.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Why is vacuuming so hard? It's just pushing a 10-pound thing around on wheels. But I always work up a sweat and then have to rest for half an hour.

In other unanswerable existential questions, why does my sister always come over when my house is a horrible mess? Why don't I clean more often? How can three cats produce this much fur?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yay Spiderman and Finn!

I just came back from another round of painting. Wow, did the last tenant ever screw over the landlord. The bright orange walls took two coats of primer before we could even think about painting them, and the teal and navy patterned walls are just about as bad. On one hand, I'm getting paid by the hour, so yay money. But there's no way the security deposit was enough to cover the paint, supplies, and my time, so the landlord is definitely eating costs associated with the ex-tenant's creative impulses. And since I like the friend of a friend for whom I'm working, I'm a bit miffed on her behalf.

Oh well. It gets me out of the apartment. And my painting skills are definitely improving, in that I'd never painted anything before.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I want to see pictures of Finn and (possibly) Spidey! Awww, kittens.

I am so ready to be over this flu. I've hit the fidgety and bored stage.
