Because I'm mad, replaced the faucet. At this hour. Hot water gave me fits, a washer shot out and took two tries before I noticed it on the floor, will see how it looks in the morning. Dry now, but... I might resort to sturdier tape.

Why do I do this to myself?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm hoping I didn't brick my phone by trying to update it. I've restored to factory settings and am trying to restore from backup now. Will all my passwords be forgotten? *grump*

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sara, you're a good person for taking on those cats.

I didn't do a g.d. thing yesterday, so today I have to be at least marginally productive. Starting with m.f. shoveling.

OK, maybe starting with laundry. It's still coming down pretty hard, although I guess this is going to keep snowing through tomorrow night. Good times. Also, I hope my neighbors took my good shovel by accident, as opposed to anyone else!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Shoveling, as reviled as it is, remains overrated.

We are going to a fancy lunch today, but costco and target first.

Timelies all!

Today we are going to a baby shower for a couple in our dance group.

Ann, that's a ferret.

RIP Dean Smith. A great coach and a great human being.

Ditto. I think I already got more done this morning than I did yesterday but the next step is going to TJs and that means going out in the rain and I don't wanna

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Did the bulk of Dad's taxes yesterday, and this morning I've already rolled out a pie crust for a quiche I'm bringing to a Festivids party. Now it's off to the gym, since it's raining too hard for running.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

A deadline always helps. My mother called and asked me to meet her at church to go see my father, instead of her coming back here. So I jumped up, threw in the laundry, ran out to clear the walk and steps and showered. Phew. (NB: Even in the snow, I believe it is less hassle for her to drive back here and then back out, than for me to make my way on foot, but whatever.)
