I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

You're a good person for anyone to have in their corner, sarameg.

I've got faucets that come out of the wall for my utility sink in the garage, so I ended up using the faucet that came with the basin in my kitchen. One of these days I will post a picture of the frankenplumbing going on there, it is far from normal but it works.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

With the rust talk leading into plumbing, I feel like you all are being all TMI about your internal workings.

This is what I'm putting in: [link] identical config to original except in brass rather than steel. And why the stupid mismatched handles? Anyway, basically hangs from the two pvc feed lines. I'll probably have to cut a new length of board to brace it against the sink. The old is pretty half assed and NSM braced. I'd thought about elbowing the joint and getting different, but so many parts. I might just skip the bracing and drill a bolt into the stone to anchor it. Hell, I've got the tools. And parts.

If it is about me, it is either cats, work, or home improvement.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

sarameg, you're a good person.

That is weird to have different finishes like that. Huh. Someone must have had a reason for it, I suppose.

I want to make some sort of feminized joke involving brass balls, but I'm too tired to really make it work.

I dropped the dog off at a friend's tonight and a) forgot to bring her bag of food and treats and stuff with me and b) left with her leash in my pocket. Too tired.

The status is NOT quo.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that any URL containing the words "thetruthabout" must be in want of the facts.

HA! Someone beat me to COMM.

Because I'm mad, replaced the faucet. At this hour. Hot water gave me fits, a washer shot out and took two tries before I noticed it on the floor, will see how it looks in the morning. Dry now, but... I might resort to sturdier tape.

Why do I do this to myself?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm hoping I didn't brick my phone by trying to update it. I've restored to factory settings and am trying to restore from backup now. Will all my passwords be forgotten? *grump*
