Punishingly Intricate

Amy, good luck!!!

Have you checked idealist.com job listings? I've been looking at those a lot lately and it seems like they list jobs I haven't seen on other job sites.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Tons of job~ma to Amy, MM, bonny, Dana, shrift, and anyone else who needs it (Calli, Hil, Scola?). And a hearty dose of recognize-the-awesome-that-is-this-applicant~ma to the places and people they're reaching out to.

ION, man, this place is seriously grim and grey when it rains. I don't even mind grim and grey all that much ordinarily, but the combination of the grey and the open space is a little unsettling. We're tiptoeing around talking in hushed voices and feeling lost and adrift, and every now and then someone's head will pop up over a cubicle wall and hastily duck back down, like a meerkat scoping for predators. I feel certain I just read about this place in The Phantom Tollbooth.

information libertarian

Fingers crossed for the job needers!

Conversation with a library patron just now:
"Can I have a pair of scissors? I need to cut a hole in my purse because the zipper broke."
"Sure, here you go."
"Also, can I get the Complete Kama Sutra, and the Holy Koran?"
"Yes, let me go get those for you. I'll need to hold your ID." [we hold ID for frequently stolen books, which category includes both of these]
"I know, that's why I need the scissors."
