I somehow convinced myself, when I woke up at 4 am as I often do (just awake enough to know I don't want to be awake, not enough to get up and do anything) that it didn't matter because it's the weekend (wtf subconcious?) and if I ever got back to sleep I could keep sleeping. No, self, that is not how it works. Slightly better to not have anxiety about not being asleep, though, I suppose.
Cat rages are never fun.

So we had about a foot of snow, followed by ice pellets, followed by rain, followed by a flash freeze. It means you can mostly walk on top of the snow, which is good because almost none of the sidewalks are plowed.
We had a delayed work start of 1.5 hours this am. Which gave me time to shovel and caffeinate.
God forbid anything should be officially not business as usual here. I was actually lucky enough to have my normal commute (subway -> bus) running more or less OK.

On the downside, I'm sort of accidentally wearing my most grody sweater. I kind of forgot how grody it is.

Oh, Plei. Oh, Plei's kitty. Matilda still talks about that one scary kitty rage-out she and Lillian got trapped behind a couple of years ago -- so stressful and upsetting for everyone.
Also, now I want to see Jesse's five most grody sweaters in order of grodiness, so we can all determine if the one she's wearing is actually and for true the Most Grody of All.
It would probably look OK in a picture, which is the problem! It seemed OK in my dim bedroom, less so in my bright office.
Speaking of not too bright, a coworker just walked into my office and told my office mate he plans to work from home today, because both of his bosses are traveling. (Office mate is one boss's #2.) Office mate was like, WTF, dude? You are here. Stay here.
