I know that feeling. I have a fic that I can't really work on until I revisit canon, another fic that I have no real idea why I'm writing, apart from the fact that no one apparently has (wtf?), and no motivation to do either. Or the stupid work busy work I should also be doing.
The weather is so nice I don't like to talk about it with people on the mainland (it seems mean). I wished I had long sleeves this morning, but, by midday, I was completely over that.
I got down to some rocky coastal area (crabs! crabs everywhere!), as the beaches were closed due to high surf. I am going down to the Place of Refuge National Park Thingy this weekend. It got beat up pretty bad by said surf, so I don't know how much will be open.
So, the person I am going with is someone from OKCupid. I...may have done a google search of his phone number and found his full name and Facebook...which now feels a little creepy. But you can totally do the same thing for me (if you also use my first name) Dammit, Living In the Future, why do you have to be so ethically ambiguous?

I think my writing problem is that it's now long enough that fuck canon refresh, I have to go back and refresh my memory as to what I've already written. I just popped it into Scrivener today. After about 16k, Written? Kitten! was getting confused, and Google Docs doesn't give me the automatic word count update I use so I can set a milestone. Tonight, that milestone is for me to hit 20k. I can totally do that.
My big need-to-revisit-canon fic is my first work in Scrivener. I'm kind of loving it.
I just wrote myself a cryptic note! It's awesome!
I should write myself another one that says, "YOU CHANGED THIS OC'S LAST NAME. PLEASE REMEMBER."
Usually, a beta will catch that, but I haven't written anything this long that's made it to actual beta stage in years.
