Sometimes I think that part of this is that managed care has not been good for the doctor/patient relationship.

I think a not-inconsiderable number of doctors would agree with you.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I take it back, Consuela; they call it a cream sauce, but it's got basil and garlic, so I'd still call it a pesto.

Avocado "Cream-Sauce" Pasta

Makes 2 servings

1 medium ripe Hass avocado
1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
3-4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 tsp lemon zest
1 cup of frozen peas
1/3-1/2 small mozzarella ball (or as desired)
1/2 tsp sea salt
chili flakes and fresh ground pepper, to taste

1. Cook two servings of spaghetti in boiling water (~10 minutes)
2. When the spaghetti is 4-minutes from being cooked, add 1 cup of frozen green peas
3. While the spaghetti is cooking, place EVOO, garlic and lemon juice in a blender and mix until smooth. Next, add avocado, 1/4 cup of chopped basil leaves, lemon zest and salt, mixing on medium until the consistency is smooth and creamy.
4. Drain the spaghetti and peas and place in a mixing bowl, Scoop the sauce over the pasta and peas and toss to combine.
5. Garnish with red chili flakes, fresh ground pepper and cheese of choice (mild cheese that won't overwhelm the delicate flavors in the sauce). Serve immediately.

edited because, gah, so many typos

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

I haven't felt like I had a "my doctor" who would take my questions and whatever since college(I've had other people to prescribe stuff and whatever, but we have yet to build up that trust.) Also, it helps that I'm not paranoid already and am comfortable thinking of concepts such as the "body's wisdom" in the metaphorical sense...in some ways, the super-right, and the super-left converge on wanting to accept feeling as facts,

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Lady of the Manners tea + cream and sweetener = so good.

Yay! I'm so glad you like it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, that sounds good, Sail!

Vacuumed and made the bed! Next I'm off to do my father's nails. Other upcoming excitement includes doing my own nails and mopping the kitchen and bathroom floors. Also making some lentils.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Anne, what brand is that? It sounds teh yum.

Sail, it's Dreaming Cow. The other flavors of theirs I really want to try are Honey Pear and Maple Ginger.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ooh, that sounds really good and easy, Sail. Thanks!

I overbought take-and-bake goodies for today. This might require postponing the return of the low carb diet a little longer until I get it all eaten up...

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I just put a top a petite sirloin roast in the crock pot. I've never used this cut, is it tasty or tough?

Dreaming Cow, check. Those other two flavors sound awesome, too. I miss the little Chobani Bites flavors I used to be able to find; they had a Fig and Orange Zest that I loved and I'm looking for something to replace them.

Oh man. FB concern troll anti-vax friend is now posting links to the Food Babe. I can't decide whether to hide his posts or keep hate-reading them. He's so smart, I can't believe he's gotten pulled into this bullshit.
