Commuting here is getting comical. I was all excited to see a bus at the stop when I got off the subway, until I saw that it had clipped another bus. So I walked, no problem. And came in to an email from one of my staff people that she was about to get on the train (or already on it? Unclear) when it caught fire!
At least I'm getting exercise, I guess.
Nice to know cheesy 70s horror thriller stuff still has an impact.
If you ever run across it, check out When Michael Calls. Not quite as cheesy (unless you count the '70s decor and fashions -- remember looooooong stocking hats?), and you'll probably figure everything out before it's half over, but definitely an impact. Especially at the climax.
I am sitting in the parking garage at my office because I drove an hour in the fog to get here then realized I left my computer at home.
Meeting people angry. Just got reminder of dentist appt today, which gets me out of another angry meeting. Woohoo?
When dental appointments are preferable to work you may have a suboptimal work environment.
What I am not saying Elsewhere: Seriously people, if Set A includes Subsets B, C, and, E, complaints about lack of access to Subset B because access to Subset B seems important are no slap in the face to those who have labored to create Subsets C and E. Also, if a reader mistakes complaints about lack of Subset B as somehow indicative that subset E is nonexistant, the flaw in the argument is not that of the author but of the reader.

Ginger, an antique dealer I know once was upset because someone wanted to buy an antique low dresser and cut a hole in the top to make it into a bathroom vanity with a sink.
And my mother once impulsively bought a desk because the dealer was planning to do a painting (I forget what kind, specifically, but it would have involved flowers and leaves) on the slant top.

And now I'm home. That was a lovely waste of time, gas, and tolls. At least I get to work from home today, due to my immense stupidity.
A big part of the reason we bought this house is the excellent shed with built in work table out back. Even as full of boxes as it is right now it's a pretty good workspace.
