Gavin, ask yourself this question. What are you more afraid of, a giant murderous demon or me?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Ginger, an antique dealer I know once was upset because someone wanted to buy an antique low dresser and cut a hole in the top to make it into a bathroom vanity with a sink.

And my mother once impulsively bought a desk because the dealer was planning to do a painting (I forget what kind, specifically, but it would have involved flowers and leaves) on the slant top.

People ...

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

And now I'm home. That was a lovely waste of time, gas, and tolls. At least I get to work from home today, due to my immense stupidity.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

A big part of the reason we bought this house is the excellent shed with built in work table out back. Even as full of boxes as it is right now it's a pretty good workspace.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm finally caught up on Natter. I was just super-depressed for the last 10 or so days, which I think was related to ita. But I'm actually in a good mood at the moment, I think because of a simple conversation on FB with my Minneapolis friends--I saw some of them at a wedding party a few weeks ago, which was the first time I had seen them in years, and had been really cheered up to see them then too.

So maybe I need to get out more, and communicate more with folks.

Glad you are in a good mood, tommyrot. And that makes sense.

I think I forgot to actually type my congratulations Drew-ward. I was thinking them very loud. Glad to hear the meeting went well, hope decisions go your way!

Also, I was so engrossed reading Natter that I almost missed my train stop. I had to run out of the train carrying my coat, scarf, iPad and backpack in my hands.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Just gave notice to my boss. Meep.

Tommy! I'm glad you're feeling cheerier.

And, ha, my direct supervisor isn't in the office yet and won't be free until 3:30? This will be super-fun then.
