If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I think I've mentioned this before but I've been emailing with one of our designers in India whose first name is Karlmarx. Too funny.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I need to remember my budget and not try to save this dresser that's for sale online. The seller suggests that it's a "great candidate for chalk paint." It's a late Empire piece with matched veneer. In a just world, people would be seized with sudden paralysis every time they tried to paint matched veneer in good condition.

weeping

Give it to me. Let me save it.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oh that is soon, -t! Exciting!

I'm not sure I should be as amused as I am at how horrified FB is at my hands.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Zen, someone else may have gotten to it first. This is on a local Facebook "yard sale" group. I did put in a plea against painting. I could see painting the top, which has a badly done repair, but the veneer on the sides and the drawer fronts is lovely, at least in the photos.

The only thing I really feel the lack of in this small townhouse is a workspace. I don't really care that the kitchen is the size of a pocket handkerchief, I care that I don't have space to repair and refinish furniture in.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I'm hoping to find a townhouse with a double garage so I can turn the extra space into a work room.

For some reason I can't get my credit reports online, so I called to request them. It will be a couple of weeks at least before they show in the mail, but at least I finally put in the request.

I also talked to one of the mortgage people at my credit union to figure out timing. So my next steps - call my dad to say that I'm really trying to make this happen and we can request pre-approval in March, save money, do what I can to clean up my credit report, and not freak out.

There are brand-new townhouses with double garages for sale near me in the 240,000's. I'm just putting that out there.

No, I'm not moving just for a garage. Even though I want one.

Where are you again, Zen?

The thought of moving elsewhere has flittered through my brain since my job is more mobile than it was when I moved here and the kids are adults. But I really like Colorado. Just need to import more Buffistas.

brillig

Well, I have thoroughly creeped myself out before bed with two episodes of Kolchak. Nice to know cheesy 70s horror thriller stuff still has an impact. And I just realized the type face for the credits and title between Kolchak and X-Files is the same.
