Good thing since that is your name in my mind.

My family and childhood friends call me Lauri, but I have always preferred Laura. I've thought at times it would be nice to have a nickname of some kind, but never happened.

There was more, but by the time I caught up, I forgot.

So I guess I have regular work tomorrow. I have to decide if I should take the train the long way around, or just walk, because my usual bus will definitely be a clusterfuck trying to get down narrow streets full of snow. Good times.

I've always been Toni, even when it was really inconvenient, like every time we moved and I started a new school.

I always feel weird when people call me Antonia. I've never felt like I lived up to it and I especially hate it when someone tries to pronounce it an-toe-NEE-ah. It's an-TOE-nee-ah! Damnit!

We're going to a Superb Owl party because the Seahawks are in it. I'm not enough of an NFL fan in the generic sense to pay much attention without either that hometown rooting interest or a team having a player I've been following since his college days. (E.g. for now my second favorite NFL team is the Panthers, because Cam Newton.)

College football is a different story. I can't imagine not watching the national championship game, even years like this one when I don't care one way or the other who wins, and I was glued to the screen for the Jan. 1 playoff games mainly for the pleasure of watching the two teams I was rooting against lose.

Oh, and I'm Susan. Never Sue or Susie. Though sometimes clients and customers are work try to shorten it, as they do for my coworker Nathaniel. Why they do this when neither of us ever introduces ourselves to anyone as Sue or Nathan/Nate I will never understand.

Vera sad. Trying to be fiscally responsible as I prep for home ownership. Cutting karate, curbing my Amazon habit, being smarter about cooking at home versus going out, no vacation, no going to LA for the memorial when that gets scheduled, trying to get down to as minimal while maintaining my sanity.

gotcha. That is good though. Cheering for you.

I am just a week in on trying to not eat out so much and I think my stubbornness may be my saving grace on this. Well and the fact that by signing up for karate, a lot of that money is already spent, I have to save to now.

Next step it to get moving on selling what I can. no progress there.

I opened up discussions with mac about moving to a duplex/townhouse nearby. There is one on the market right now that would be perfect, but now is not the right time. If I can keep moving in the right direction, maybe in a year it would be good. Would have to be a purchase based on selling or renting out this place. The move would be so we'd be closer to his school, walking distance until graduation, also these duplex/townhouses have smaller yards so less upkeep and would be easier to resell if I were to move. You know thoughts.

A townhome would be a fantastic fit for what I'd like. Less yard would be a big plus. I kill cacti.

I've always thought of SA as SA. I think when I met you f2f I wondered briefly if I'd need to call you by some other name, and then Plei introduced you as SA and that was that.

I feel terrible tonight, not sure if I'm getting sick or just worn out or what. Tummy hurts, head is fuzzy. But I promised a friend (old college friend of mine who now lives in upstate NY) that I'd read a story of hers, so I'll do that and then bed.
