We went under contract on a house this morning! [link] It's a great location for us - we lived around the corner in 1996-2000 and used to walk on the street, which is a cul-de-sac, and admire it. It's a total grandma house - it literally has the same wallpaper in the kitchen that my grandparents did - but seems solid; it's built like a brick house, which it is. We settled on a price that is a LOT less than what was initially asked, which should let us do some renovations and/or deal with the teetering garage.
And the thing is, I like my evil like I like my men: evil. You know, straight up, black hat, tied to the train tracks, soon my electro-ray will destroy metropolis BAD.

I'm feeling annoyed at people who are not traveling and yet make the schedule with no regard to travel and then I can't go to their meetings where important things that affect me (or things I need to know) happen. Grr.
