Yeah, it sounds nasty. And everything is already going to be a disaster tomorrow morning, since there is melting now, but then it's going to freeze again! Good thing I bought more ice melt yesterday, although my arms are now sore, since 12 lbs is more than I usually lift.
It's such a pain with TCG's work because he has a long commute. They very rarely cancel or delay his job and sometimes when they do he has already left because they wait too long to call him and let him know. And of course, I worry when he does have to drive in in bad weather.
Took the twins to the track for a run. Grace did 3 solid laps before she pooped out. Noah did 8. And now I am icing my foot.
Dang, stay warm folks!
Lee and I have been lingering over our morning coffee, but now we're transitioning to showers.
That's great about the running, Kat. Bummer about the ice.
Kat, which track do you use?
We got all of yesterday's weather as rain. And we're supposed to get rain as part of the next stormpocalypse too.
The only thing about storms during the week is that there is a faint hope of a snow day.
Be safe, people in the winter storm maelstrom.
WS, that sounds utterly infuriating. Co-workers who undermine you are horrible anyway, but in this case, where she's undermining you on something involving the well-being of another human being who's got complex health, family and social issues -- RAGE.
Undermining me is cruddy. But I am kinda resigned to there being a certain portion of people who can listen to dietary instructions (including from dieticians. Did I mention we brought in a dietician to educate us about optimal meal planning. Guess who was not there?) and come away with the impression that they are already doing exactly what they should be doing therefore need to make zero changes. The part I'm RAGEing about is the way Mrs. Loves Carbs manipulates the younger coworker. Younger coworker knows it is happening, but does not know how to counter it without creating a bigger conflict so just gives in to it.
"Potentially historic winter storm"
