Sweet lumpy minion, you're the only one that understands. Probably 'cause I haven't sucked the brain out of you yet.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

If it makes you feel better, Tep, I'm probably having a tuna salad sandwich and Chex Mix for dinner tonight. Woo!

That sounds super stressful Strix, I'm sorry!

I had a work thing that was actually IN TOWN, which was awesome, so drove over there this morning, and met with them and did stuff. I think I really like the one woman who's in charge, we seem very on the same no BS wavelength.

And then I came home and made myself a healthy dinner (turkey meatballs, sauce, spaghetti squash), and facetimed my sister and niece, and in a few hours will go pick up my old roommate from the airport! If only I didn't have work that I need to do tomorrow...

I also may have figured out part of what caused the super painful arm/shoulder--with all the painting, I wasn't really painting with that arm, but I WAS screwing/unscrewing the various light sockets and stuff. I think that may have done it. ...sadly, I realized that because I was trying to put together some furniture this evening, and in doing so realized the screws were making my shoulder hurt. Oops.

I'm sorry. I know you meant well, meara. I'm not laughing at you...in fact, thanks. That made me laugh and laugh. And I kinda needed that.

Hey, whatever it takes. :) And I mostly said it for the -ma/ma connection. (But hey, she might need some on her way to wherever she's heading! Can't hurt!)

I swear I've had more sightings of David Cross and Michael Cera than all other celebrities combined.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Dan and I BOTH had a cigarette afterwards, like after a scene in an old 40's movie

What a picture! That sounds delicious.

I had just barely gotten into the habit of flossing daily when I got the invisalign, which means I should be flossing after every meal, but really I skip lunch.

The Invisalign was what got me in the habit of flossing every day! I kept thinking about putting the plastic things on over dirty teeth and gums, and... eesh, yeah, brush and floss.

Got it! Thanks!

My friend got tipsy with former colleagues tonight (and may still be in their care) and so we're postponing the china packing on account of too many feels and poor coordination (china is mostly stuff she inherited from her late parents, so.) Just as well, I can stay up late tomorrow and sat nights, but NSM tonight.

Today is your birthday, Andi! Happy birthday to you. May you have joy in abundance in the year to come. You have lifted my spirits countless times here and deserve much happiness.

Dear, sweet, Andi. Laura speaks for me. I adore you and wish you greater happiness than even you can imagine!

Happy Birthday!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday Andi!

I am sorry about your grandmother, MM

I am so totally over adulting for the day. It is time for PJs, mac and cheese, and maybe some wine.

About pseuds. I have one that I used to use on dating sites but nowhere else.

I used 'beej' here because that is what I was called for many, many years. When I switched to my actual name, I added the fides as both a pun and an expression of my desire to always be sincere and honest.

It never occurred to me to use any other kind of pseud after a good friend of mine, who is a big noise in 'net security, sat me down for the 'hard truths' about life on the internet as he sees them.

Or, it could just be that I don't have that great an imagination when it comes to such things!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Happy Birthday, Andi!

So I have a 1-day streak of flossing going.

Who's gonna grow the rally beard?

I'm trying to decide if I need to take one of the cats to the vet tomorrow. She's obviously had pain in her mouth the last couple of days, but right now she seems totally normal. She would have to be completely knocked out for anyone to actually look at her mouth and I really don't relish the idea of inflicting that trauma on either of us.
