I still don't know the connection between most of my FB friends and their board names.

I may have to seize the cat.

For Buffistas, I usually think board names.

But then, the first half of my board name is a nickname my sister actually uses for me, so I have no identity confusion when people call me Kiba out loud.

She is out of surgery. They were able to push the hernia back in for now. She made need more extensive surgery in the future.

Breathing a bit easier.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

She is out of surgery. They were able to push the hernia back in for now.

Good news!

This came up on the Google hangout the other day. I tend to not think of people in their board names much anymore. Some people it is still all I know, but with Facebook I know most real names and that is how I think of most you. Doubly so if I have met you. Others said they think of us in board names. What say you?

I totally think in board names, and always feel a little weird replying to someone on FB with their real name (Zenkitty and meara come to mind).

Though sometimes I feel like I should just change my board name to Teppy, since everyone calls me that.

Yay on the good Mom news!

I haven't heard back on the interview, but it's still early. I can only hope that because i was one of tge first, I'll stick in their minds the best.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I'm glad you can breathe easier, Callaluna.

I could just change my tagline to [mylastname], because I don't think changing my board name to some version of Amy is going to be any less confusing, though there may still be people out there who think amych and I are one person. (Despite it being Buffista conversation topic #189.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think of people by their board name. On Facebook I mentally translate those names to board names. ETA if I know them.

I just realized I don't know how to pronounce your name. And I was going to say your "full" name, but actually, either way -- is it actually "minus tee"??

-t - Jan 21, 2015 5:33:53 am PST #16380 of 30000
I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

However you like! "Minus" tee is good, or just "tee". Way back when it was "little T" hence the not being capitalized. I think it corresponds to some sort of computer command - I probably wouldn't recognize that to respond to it, but if it was explained to me I would appreciate it. It's all good.

Full name rhymes with camera. Last name just like it's spelled ("scared of" or "scared off" or "scare it off" or "scarred of" are all acceptable. Probably other variants are fine, too). Which reminds me - I've been pretty indiscriminately accepting friend requests and sporadically friending folks out of the "People You May Know" thingy and I came across someone who has my last name that I did not already know! In Cyrillic, which I only learned hand-written rather than whatever font that might be and don't know well regardless, but I'm pretty sure those are the same letters in the same order. That is a weird feeling.
