See, no one has said squat to me on my post of football confession.
Where, OK, I'm downplaying my tragic knowledge of the actual game results, and the fact that I know that Sherman got injured at some point, which, depending on the injury may have repercussions in two weeks at the Superb Owl.
BUT IT IS NOT LIKE I WANT TO KNOW THESE THINGS.
I just sort of... do.
Sophia, that's funny.

I saw your post after experiencing the attempt to shame me for liking something other than football, and it made me laugh SO HARD for the sheer juxtaposition of it. Your friends are awesome.
"Did you see that ludicrous display last night?"
"Did you see that ludicrous display last night?"
Exactly!

They're also admittedly probably all in high spirits on account of the win.
Perhaps they thought you were being ironic or something. Like the known hipster that you are.
That being said, I just asked flat out if Seattle won, because the only uniform I recognize is the Steelers, and the celebratory pictures make no sense to me.
edit: Heck, I don't even know when the Super Bowl is.
The Seahawks that people are talking about play football?

Me neither!
(My mom commented to say that my dad was cooking salmon carbonara for the Patriots game and that it was weird game day food, but I don't really think that counts.)
I am not overstating the matter when I say that FB is the ONLY reason I know when sports things are happening, and even then the details are vague. I'm more likely to know what city is having a sports event happening to it (based on who's reacting to it) than which sport is happening.
At least in the last quarter and the OT, they did.
I'm fairly certain they weren't for the first 3/4ths of the game, though.
My mom can't figure out how she raised 2 nonfootball kids.BECAUSE WE NEVER WATCHED FOOTBALL. Unless it was the hometown hs rivalry, which turns out ranks nationally up there with Odessa's. FNL was not unfamiliar. And even then, it was social necessity, not actual interest, fergawdsake.
My brother and I had no idea she liked football until he moved to B'ham 12 years ago and was aghast he didn't know who Bear Bryant was. (I didn't either.)
And all the tsuris trying to reach them and my mom's about to hop in the shower, they'll call me back. Banging my head on ... couch.
edit: Heck, I don't even know when the Super Bowl is.
The only reason I have an approximate idea as to its date is that it's always right around my birthday.
I sort of root for the Saints, because of people here. I also kind of root for the Patriots, because my mom's family would skin me alive, otherwise.
