Legacy accruals we won't lose until we used them up, ( of course that burns first) but after that, the accrual zeros at the beginning of every year. And they're trying to impose mandatory vacation days- specific ones regardless of site schedules. Compared with our sites 5 wks/ yr, some insane cap of 3 or 4 months..
There is talk of insurrection to get a buyout.
Again, not uncommon in the industry, but diverging drastically from our main contract.
I'm sorry, Lisa.
Sarameg, that sucks. I worked for a lousy company that held my organization's contract a while ago. We managed to get our organization bought out by another, better company. I hope you get a similar (or better) resolution soon.
Oh Lisa, I'm sorry.
It sucks but knowing how passionate he is about wanting to help people and do what he can to prevent such tragic endings helps.
Yeah. Someone has to be there for those people
I'm so sorry, Lisah.
That's sucks Sara. I hope some form of insurrection works.
There's a great line from the Canadian cop show Flashpoint: "We are catching people in the worst moments of their lives. The very worst moment. Now, what do they got if they don't have us?"
Timelies all!
I'm sorry, Lisa.
Woke up at ~2:30 am for no apparent reason. Did fall back to sleep quickly, but what the hell?
I have a cat head on my foot. Shadow is learning that I will not spend the day napping with him in bed, like his Daddy did. Also, he loves graham crackers.
Everyone adapts. Lucky was Rob's cat, and now she's mine. It's different, but we all eventually managed.
I'm glad there is a little bit of grace in your day.
That's a good cat, Shadow.
I think I am letting Family Swim time at the gym defeat me. I am weak.
Eta: but I signed up for a "permanent" locker and towel service, which is like investing in future exercise.
I'm fully accepting of the TMJ, but today the pain resolved to a very very specific point this afternoon, and now I'm also thinking cracked tooth due to teeth grinding. Still waiting on a callback from the dentist, and chiro tomorrow.
ION, Campbell's now has a very delicious soup I just discovered. Some sort of kettle cooked portabello mushroom bisque that is chock full of chunky mushrooms with just the right give to the tooth and is divine.
