No, it's shiny! I like to meet new people. They've all got stories...

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Thank you, JZ. I will do that.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Allyson, Polgara, Kristen, and Burrell, thank you so much for being with her. I’m so sorry that you had to be.

I had to skim a little because the words are causing the tears and the sadness and the day is nowhere near over but has someone notified Cass and Stephanie I?

I read and posted briefly this morning before work. I was too numb to feel then. Started silently crying at work for an hour, boss asked if I was sick when she heard a sniff and I told her. She tried to send me home immediately but I needed to feel useful for a couple more hours. And, suddenly, I was done. I’m home now and just feeling the loss. I think Stephanie I. posted at least a comment somewhere on Facebook.

Does anybody have contact info for Gudanov?

I'm - well, not glad, but relieved - to see posts from people I think would like to know what happened. I didn't ever get to mention some of the names, and now, that I'm catching up, I see some of them here. Thank you, all of you, for taking care of your friends, even the ones you're not in touch with as often as you'd like to be.

They were just putting a little Nilly into the world. :)

It feels so weird to be posting here.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm so glad to see people I haven't seen round these parts in ages. I wish it wasn't under these circumstances.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I don't have an email for Gud, but I just pinged him via LinkedIn (he's also on FB, but doesn't seem to have been around at all since starting his new job).

It's good to read your pixels, even though I needed to think for a minute to connect your current name to your former one, the one I got to know you by.

Thanks, JZ.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I just saw the post in Beep Me and I'm stunned with disbelief. ita was such a vital member of this community, it's hard to even consider it existing without her. My heart goes out to her family, meatspace and virtual.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I've been away from my desk all day and just learned about this from Dana on LJ. I don't even know what to say. Life can be so monumentally unfair and nonsensical. I never got to meet her, but she was such a bright star and this place is... I am having a hard time imagining this place without her, honestly. Christ.

Allyson, thank you so much for your post. I can't even fathom how hard it would have been to be in your (and Kristen's and Polagra's) shoes. LAistas, please let us know if there is anything we can do from afar to help during the coming week and beyond.
