I should make an appointment with the vet, get the cat's checkups started. Not really onerous, but i forgot all last week, so maybe i'll get that done today. Also work, of course, which is full of onerous tasks.

The passage of time gobsmacks me again.
I had the glimmer of an idea last night as I was trying to fall asleep. We know how fast we are moving through time, it's always one second per second, so if Heisenberg applies we can never know where we are temporally.
I don't know what to do with it, but I like it.
I woke up early, am coffee'd, and getting ready for a full day of freelance work, then the gym this evening.
Oh, and a phone call to get some shit straightened out -- I've made one call and one in-store visit, and I never heard back from them, and it's been 4 weeks. I'm not going to be nice.

So I may be re-confirming that oatmeal does not work for me as breakfast, since I'm already starting to think about lunch, and it's not even 11!
The (excellent, nationally ranked) magnet high school in our fair city starts in 7th grade. (They do keep 7th and 8th grades a little apart in their own wing.) She's shadowing on Thursday, and registration is next week.
I also recently had The Talk that every mother has to have with her growing daughter at some point. No, not THAT talk ... the Leggings Are Not Pants talk.
My oatmeal usually works for me but not today! And mine was all tricked out with ground flax, chia seed/pom juice mix, and an apple.
It is raining like crazy out there. I dread to think of what this would look like if it was snow.
The mutant zombie chickens that are the result of the last 6-9 months of fuckeduppedness are coming home to roost.
And I'm fine with this because I've been telling people all along that they were coming, and they just wouldn't listen.
I had a feeling I would need extra food today, so I basically had two breakfasts at once. So far so good.
Also, made French press coffee at my desk so it could be half decaf Peet's Holiday Something, half TJ's Wintry Blend. Not bad.
