I think I can tell the days are getting longer. It seems to me that it's lighter at 5 PM than it was, but solstice was barely three weeks ago.

Natter 73: Chuck Norris only wishes he could Natter
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Ugh I'm wishing we had devised a test to give one of my co-workers to have figured out what kind of a negative asshole he is. He came across as confident but friendly in the interview not overly confident and relentlessly nay-saying.
So of course when I went out to get the work laptop in case the ice storm materializes, I slipped on some ice and fell. Scuff and some bruising, but fine. It's just deliciously stupid.
I've decided to structure my class around food this semester and I love the name the anti detox diet. Not that I am going to try it even though it looks good. Too much work to follow a strict diet. But I'll console myself that we do generally eat home cooked foods and lots of fruit, veg, and high fiber.
I put away Christmas today, upstairs and down. And outside.
Now I'm cooking food! And watching GGs.
Re: GGs, ISTG, I was just thinking "Just Keep Simmons" the other day!
I made that Alton Brown mac & cheese tonight.
I can understand the contract and writing exercises, but...a logic test?? Like, what kind of questions and we talking? So weird
No idea, but apparently everyone who works for the company takes it.
I wish our customers had to take a test on basic logical thinking.
I'd love to see a lot more basic logic in the world in general.
I'm so paralyzed by the new tech question, I think I'll just put it off as no real imperative is in play. Though, I appreciate the encouragement that moving away from Apple will be horrible.
In truth though, when I worked for a solidly PC based software company, I was the only one in the office with an apple. I made the excuse that I needed it for graphics...which was true...but I just feel like that language has always been easier for me to use on a daily basis.
This, coming from the person on staff who actually wrote the English portions of the tech manuals!
eta: MAN, Freudian slip-o-rama. My subconscious just does not want to believe that moving away from Apple WON'T be horrible. Heh. My wool is dyed, yo.
