I put away Christmas today, upstairs and down. And outside.
Now I'm cooking food! And watching GGs.
'War Stories'
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Re: GGs, ISTG, I was just thinking "Just Keep Simmons" the other day!
I made that Alton Brown mac & cheese tonight.
I can understand the contract and writing exercises, but...a logic test?? Like, what kind of questions and we talking? So weird
No idea, but apparently everyone who works for the company takes it.
I wish our customers had to take a test on basic logical thinking.
I'd love to see a lot more basic logic in the world in general.
I'm so paralyzed by the new tech question, I think I'll just put it off as no real imperative is in play. Though, I appreciate the encouragement that moving away from Apple will be horrible.
In truth though, when I worked for a solidly PC based software company, I was the only one in the office with an apple. I made the excuse that I needed it for graphics...which was true...but I just feel like that language has always been easier for me to use on a daily basis.
This, coming from the person on staff who actually wrote the English portions of the tech manuals!
eta: MAN, Freudian slip-o-rama. My subconscious just does not want to believe that moving away from Apple WON'T be horrible. Heh. My wool is dyed, yo.
No Golden Globes talk? I am late to the show and expected to be able to catch up on dresses and faux pas here.
Sorry. I'm drinking pear cider and watching hockey, eh.
Eh, there will be pictures tomorrow and the best clips will be on YouTube.
Suzi, I just found this gigongulous all-the-dresses slideshow: [link]
Whole lot of safe and nondescript and a couple of seriously fugly dresses, but also some serious pretty, and a couple of folks looking about as good as they ever have.
Awards - all I want is for Ralph Fiennes to win for Grand Budapest Hotel. If he loses to Bill Murray, that'd be tolerable, but losing to anyone else is Unacceptable.
eta: #30 in that slideshow, Felicity Jones, is my absolute favorite by far. Ruth Wilson's is unusual and very striking. Katherine Heigl's dress looks like the skirt is on backward.
