Stay warm, all you folks!

And I hope ita is blissfully asleep without pain...

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Chicago in the spring could be pleasant.

I was there one year in late June and foolishly didn't pack anything with long sleeves. I came home with a new sweatshirt. But still, right now, a temperature where all I need as outerwear is a sweatshirt sounds great.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Chicago in the spring is nice, from my brief acquaintance with it.

I hope ita is asleep and pain-free.

askye, may your medical and doctor problems be solved quickly. You've had to deal with this mess for far too long already. This Dr. C seems utterly unhelpful.

It is 19 degrees here now. I'm staying inside in my warm fluffy robe until it gets to at least 35. Frozen water on the inside of windows? Oh hell naw. I would go mad and caulk everything up with plastic and foam.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

People (not me) were complaining that the section of the office where I sit was noticeably colder than the rest of the office, so now they're twiddling with the controls to try to get this section warm. I'm happier with it being cooler, but a number of other people are seriously uncomfortable.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I was there one year in late June and foolishly didn't pack anything with long sleeves. I came home with a new sweatshirt.

Sounds like my August trip to SF one year! I have to confess, at the time I was really happy with the break from summer. This is why I live in a temperate climate! I like the variety!

I remember one summer when SF actually got warm, DavidS commenting that the tourists in their shorts and t-shirts were actually comfortable instead of freezing and having to enrich the local economy by buying sweaters and such.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Chicago in the spring/summer is generally gorgeous.

SF weather, I can't deal with. Why can't you hippie freaks have your seasons at the same time as the rest of us?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

My one trip to Chicago in the summer was in July and it was incredibly hot and humid.

When we went to SF a couple summers ago (in August), it was super cool and damp (which we'd packed for) but then when we drove up to Santa Rosa, I had to buy new shoes because all I had were boots and it was quite warm and sunny. Gorgeous weather!
