And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Yikes, Kat! How scary. I'm sorry your trip is going to be cut short.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh Kat! I am so sorry that things have taken such a scary turn. I hope that Grace, and all of your family, got some rest last night.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, no, Kat, that sounds terrifying!

I ended up skipping the fireworks just because 9:15 is late for me to be awake anymore.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, Kat, how terrifying! And what completely frustrating nonsense with the hospital. Is it a really tiny facility, or was it a massive holiday clusterfuck? (I'm hoping the latter, so things can improve over the weekend.) Who closes a hospital ward, even a little one, at the start of a 3-day weekend most notable for stupid driving and things being set on fire and blown up?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Yikes, Kat! I'm glad she's doing better now.

TNG has had digestive upset the last few days, but took a turn last night into not being able to keep anything down and barfing quietly in the living room. She's also weirdly quiet--she usually whines when she is upset, and wakes me up. But I didn't hear anything.

Now she's just laying around, and isn't hungry, which is a bad sign. The vet opens in an hour, so I'll call them then. Probably I'll have to get in line behind people whose pets got upset by the fireworks.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I hope Grace is doing better now. I do know how scary it is. When I was 10 and my sister was 8, she started having seizures while we were on vacation. We had to drive on unfamiliar mountain roads in the dark with sketchy directions to get to a small hospital. I think that's still in my mother's top five scary things ever.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Health~ma to Grace, Kat.

Consuela, TNG? Photo proof?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh no, Kat, how scary for all of you. Sending all of you much love. Hope that tough little girl of yours gets better soon.

Hope the vet visit goes well, Consuela. I recall a similar scare with my cat Burrell many years ago.

Oh Kat, so sorry this is happening instead of a nice vacation!

You'd think Saturday first thing in the morning after a holiday when there is NOBODY in the waitig room my doctor would be on time. So far 15 min late and counting...
