this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Or Krazy Kat, a cat of indeterminate sex infatuated with a mouse who throws bricks at him/her.

This might actually be Tim and me. In that order.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am generally anti-resolution, but in favor of anyone freeing oneself from comparisons to others. So, um, yeah. Go Team Self-actualization. Or something.

Yay polka dots! I love polka dots. I feel on much surer ground with that one.

Found my heart rate monitor! I am unstoppable now.

I am, too! I haven't made resolutions in YEARS. But I've been wanting the deadline of a specific 5K so I had a date to aim/train for, and once I found the superhero one for April, I figured, well, now I have a concrete date/goal, and that IS a resolution. And I've been yelling at my brain for a while now about the whole comparison thing, so I thought, well, I need to take steps to move toward not doing that, which (one might say) is me *resolving* to do something.

So I figured I'd call them New Year's resolutions. Which means I've got less than a week to be a lazy butt who has no Emmy.

Honestly, I have been having the same semantic discussion with myself. I've got these plans and goals, and I'm starting working on them Jan 1, but am I resolved? I don't know, I am hung up on the word.

But for me, not for you. Be resolute if you wanna be!

You're welcome to compare yourselves to me, if "at least I didn't spend Christmas getting three units of packed red blood cells" makes you feel better.

Also, I have no Emmy.

I'm kind of thinking, "Shit, I don't have an Emmy AND I don't have 3 units of PRBCs! I AM SO BEHIND!"

In all seriousness, though, I hope the PRBCs make *you* feel better. Not the best way to spend Christmas, but I'm still glad to know you got them, because you needed them.

I seriously did. Apparently the ulcer is acting up again. I wasn't good about taking all my Prilosec while I had the Martian Death Flu.

Dang, Ginger. I hope the ulcer starts behaving better and the RBCs help.

brillig

I need a resolution to try and become more limber. Screw loosing weight or getting strong or running anything, I need to become more limber. I've been trying to get myself to restart yoga for months. Just the most basic things. I wish I knew why I was so adamantly anti-change.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

Timelies everyone!

I spent most of today waiting at a walk-in clinic because of horrible chest pain to find out it's a viral inflammation thing and I get to just ride it out. Exciting!

I had a random question though - have any of you American buffistas ever flown into Canada with a one-way ticket? I'm visiting Vancouver later in January and I'm not sure how long I'm staying, so I was planning on purchasing my return ticket while I was already there, once I had it figured out. Wondering if that'd be an issue with border patrol people?
