Timelies all!
I'm sorry, Sue.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Timelies all!
I'm sorry, Sue.
In a break from my usual Saturday morning, I have gone outside! And checked three things off my pre-Christmas to-do list! Huzzah.
I'm so sorry, Sue.
The library opening does sound excellent.
I'm sorry , sue
Glad the city/ library are doing things right
I'm so sorry, Sue.
Oh, I'm sorry, Sue. Good-bye, sweet Clio.
I leave for my trip on Tuesday. I have more stuff to do before then than I can possibly get done, and am I doing any of it? No, I'm procrastinating and whining. I don't want to clean the house for the petsitter. I don't want to wrap presents. I don't want to pack. I don't want to box up a million books and haul a million boxes to charity. I don't want to edit six papers. I want to watch tv and eat Doritos and pretend it will be Saturday for another week.
sigh Okay, fine, I'll go be grown-up now.
Sorry about Clio, Sue.
Oh, Sue. I am so sorry.
Thanks everyone. I'm still gutted, but the kind words do help.
The library is beautiful. There's two cafes, a roof deck, a performance/lecture space, gaming space on the kids floor, a recording studio. They've truly got that idea of the library as a community/third space. And for the opening, they handed out 300 pairs of scissors, so that everyone could cut the ribbon to open it, since it was the city's library.
That sounds great.
OK, I'm going to try to run errands but I think I will start with lunch because I am very hungry and nothing I have here appeals. Lunch, errands, walking the dog. That's the plan. Sorry dog, I know you would like to change up that order.
